Tickets are on sale for Centennial Mayor Stephanie Piko's final State of Our City address scheduled for Thursday, May 8 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight (13005 Wings Way, Englewood). This year's theme is Centennial's Ready! Prepare. Innovate. Succeed. and will highlight how the City is positioned for the future.
Space Force Contract Won by Centennial's ULA
Centennial-based United Launch Alliance has been awarded a major contract to launch 40% of the U.S. Space Force’s missions over the next several years. The $5.3 billion contract secures national security space launches, expected to start later this decade and continuing through 2034. The award continues ULA's work as a primary space launch provider for the U.S. military.
Augustus Aerospace Moves into Centennial
Last month Augustus Aerospace celebrated their grand opening of their newly expanded office space in Centennial. This move for Augustus Aerospace marks a major milestone in enhancing aerospace advancements, streamlining operations, and pushing the boundaries of technology. A major highlight of the expansion is the state-of-the-art 4,000-square-foot electronics lab, allowing seamless in-house design, prototyping, and initial production, all within an electrostatic discharge-safe and high-tech environment.
Centennial Seeking Requests of Interest From Developers
Attention Housing Developers! The City is seeking Requests of Interest from experienced and reputable developers interested in constructing and/or rehabilitating for-sale or for-rent affordable housing in Centennial. We're looking to better understand the types of projects developers could bring forward and what incentives from the City would help make those projects possible. - National Small Business Week is May 4 - 10. Support a Centennial small business and shop local next week, perhaps for a Mother's Day gift. Additionally, many Small Business Development Centers will celebrate through workshops and programming.
- Celebrate 2025 Economic Development Week May 11 - 17 with us on social media as we highlight the hard work and positive impact the Centennial team is making in our community. Follow us on Instagram, @centennialgov.
- Arapahoe/Douglas WORKS Workforce Center is offering a virtual Youth Employment Law Workshop on Tuesday, May 6 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. If you hire employees under the age of 18 and have questions about the number of hours they are allowed to work or the new laws that became effective in 2025, then this workshop is for you.
- The South Metro Denver Chamber will host "The Tank" on Wednesday, May 7 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Lone Tree Arts Center (10075 Commons St., Lone Tree). Inspired by a popular TV show, this event brings the business and nonprofit sectors of the community together by showcasing select nonprofits as they pitch to a panel of Sharks. This event is open to members and the public.
- The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) will host a virtual Colorado-wide webinar focusing on Funding Your Early-Stage Colorado Tech Startup on Tuesday, May 13 from 12 - 1:15 p.m. Learn about various financing avenues, government programs and incentives and engage with a knowledgeable panel of investors.

CORE Electric Cooperative will host small to midsize business members and also property owners and managers within their service territory at their upcoming Connects meetings. CORE is seeking insight on challenges and opportunities within the small business community and looking to partner with these businesses as their utility provider. Energy solutions and opportunities for cost-effective and sustainable energy practices will also be discussed.
City Announcements
- City of Centennial offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26.
- Applications are still available for Centennial's Neighborhood Engagement Grant program, which offers up to $500 in funding for resident-led community-building events, including movie nights, block parties and other social gatherings. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Events must take place in Centennial, be open to community members and include various residents and adhere to all applicable codes and regulations.
