Midtown Centennial: The Future of Centennial's Core
The City of Centennial is developing a long-term vision to turn Midtown Centennial into a dynamic, mixed-use destination environment that fosters activity, connectivity and revitalization. Strategically located along the I-25 corridor, Midtown Centennial, spans from South Yosemite St. and South Havana St. (west to east) and East Arapahoe Rd. and East County Line Rd. (north to south) in the heart of Centennial. This area is uniquely positioned within the Denver metro area to become a vibrant hub integrating residential, commercial and transit-oriented spaces.
Historically characterized by mid-20th-century office parks and commercial developments, Midtown is evolving in response to shifting market trends and changing work environments. The City envisions Midtown as a walkable, mixed-use district that serves as a gathering place for residents, workers and visitors alike.
Guided by Centennial NEXT, the City’s Comprehensive Plan and the City’s Strategic Plan, Midtown Centennial focuses on:
- Expanding housing options to support a diverse and thriving community.
- Enhancing business opportunities and economic vitality.
- Creating inviting public spaces and recreational areas.
- Integrating walkable environments and multimodal transportation options.
- Showcasing Centennial’s innovative spirit through high-quality urban design and placemaking.
The success of Midtown Centennial relies on community input and we invite you to be part of the foundation of this exciting transformation. Share your ideas through our interactive mapping tool to highlight opportunities, ask questions and provide feedback on specific locations within Midtown. Your participation will help shape Midtown into a vibrant, inclusive space that benefits the entire Centennial community.
