Spin Scooters Expand into Centennial
The City of Centennial has partnered with Greenwood Village, Spin and the Greenwood Consolidated Metropolitan District (GCMD) to expand an electric scooter pilot program into Centennial adjacent to the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre/Arapahoe at Village Center Station area. The pilot program will run through April 2025. Spin, a leading micromobility company, is providing 25 shared e-scooters that will be available at various station locations. The use of Spin e-scooters requires downloading an app on a mobile device.

Centennial Receives Support from Arapahoe County
Centennial is proud to be one of the many recipients of Arapahoe County's Shareback and Open Spaces Grant program. This generous contribution will help us continue improving our local parks, trails and open spaces. We are grateful for our ongoing partnerships with local Parks and Recreation districts which help make Centennial a beautiful place to live and where our residents can enjoy the outdoors. Through the Shareback program, fifty percent of the annual Open Space Sales and Use Tax revenue is distributed directly back to participating cities and towns across the county benefitting communities like ours.
Community College of Aurora Coming to Centennial
Community College of Aurora (CCA) is expanding to Centennial. The recently announced the addition of a third campus that will house the college’s health sciences programs, including the nursing school, behavioral health, and more. The additional campus is expected to open in the fall of 2025. Welcome to Centennial CCA, we are proud to partner with you.
Centennial Adopts New Electrical Code
As of August 1, 2024, the City of Centennial has adopted the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). All permits submitted after this date must comply with the updated standards. Permits applied for or under review prior to August 1, 2024 will continue to be reviewed and issued under the 2020 electrical code. View a complete list of Building Codes adopted by Centennial.

- The City of Centennial acknowledges with heartfelt condolences the recent passing of Buz Koelbel of the family-run Denver area real estate firm. The Koelbel family has brought significant residential and commercial developments to the area over many years, contributing to the overall growth and success in south Denver. He will be missed. - Join Arapahoe County as they celebrate the re-opening of Dove Valley Regional Park with their new amenities, including a new bike park, dog park, fitness station, playgrounds and more on Friday, October 11 at 10 a.m.

- Effective January 1, 2024 and required by January 1, 2025, many companies in the U.S. must report information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Filing is simple, secure, and free of charge. Beneficial ownership information reporting is not an annual requirement. Unless a company needs to update or correct information, a report only needs to be submitted once. - The Colorado Enterprise Fund was the recent recipient of a $7 million donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. The unrestricted gift, will further CEF's core mission of providing access to capital and coaching to small business owners that can’t obtain financing through traditional financing. It comes at a moment as the organization reaches significant milestones, including surpassing $325 million in total capital disbursed (including loans, new markets tax credits, and grants).

Sip in Centennial returns for a second year on Saturday, October 26 at Centennial Center Park (13050 E. Peakview Ave.) from 1 - 5 p.m. Join us for this diverse adult tasting celebrating Colorado with local distilleries, breweries and wineries. Live music will fill the air and food will be available to purchase from local food trucks. Pre-purchase your tasting cards for $20. Ticket price will increase to $30 the day of the event and will be sold on-site, while supplies last. The Centennial Rotary Club will be selling full-sized beers and seltzers throughout the event as a fundraiser; sampling tickets are not required to purchase from the Rotary Club.
