City of Centennial Awarded Metro Vision Award
Centennial's Livable Streets Residential Collector and Right-Sizing Roadways Program has been recognized as one of eight Metro Vision Award recipients by the Denver Regional Council of Governments. This prestigious award highlights our commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration in creating safer, more accessible streets for everyone.
Over the past two years, the City has piloted and advanced this program, transforming residential collector roadways with enhancements like pavement markings and pedestrian pushbutton-activated Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs). These changes aim to calm traffic, increase comfort for all roadway users, and offer more mode choices, all while maintaining safety and efficiency.
