SPARK Centennial Roundtable Offered This Month
Join us Tuesday, June 25 at 8:30 a.m. for the next SPARK Centennial roundtable which will be a "talkshow" inspired discussion and include interactive activities and networking opportunities. Learn from industry experts and thought leaders as they share their experience and strategies for creating impactful workplace experiences. Featured speakers will include Charlie Miller, Executive Director and Curator of Off-Center at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and Gina Schreck, the Founder/CEO of The Village Workspace. Additionally, James Lopez, founder of The Exposure Project, will lead participants through an interactive office space and share a scenario of a future workspace. SPARK Centennial roundtables take place at The Village Workspace, located at 7173 S. Havana St. #600 and are free and open to the entire Centennial business community. True Anomaly Lands Space Force Contract
Centennial based True Anomaly has been awarded a direct to phase II contract by SpaceWERX focused on Tactically Responsive Space, where they will be tasked to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of Air Force. Congratulations! Visit True Anomaly for details.
Dry Creek Road Construction Underway
Construction is underway to improve eastbound traffic on Dry Creek Road just east of the I-25 interchange. Additional associated improvements are also expected. Throughout the project, travelers can expect daytime traffic impacts and intermittent daytime lane closures. Visit Dry Creek for more information.
Arapahoe Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebration
Last month, the City of Centennial and its contractors and community partners officially celebrated the successful completion of the reconstructed Arapahoe Bridge over Big Dry Creek with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new bridge is a wider, taller and longer structure improving safety for the traveling public. Thank you for your patience throughout this important project for the City.
Centennial YMCA Center of Generations Celebrates One Year
It's been a year since the City and YMCA partnered to open the Center of Generations, offering diverse programming for teens and older adults to enjoy and has become a great resource to our community. Some programs have a fee and require registration, while some activities are free for Centennial residents and YMCA members. - The Economic Development Group of the South Metro Denver Chamber will host a session titled "Building Boom: Analyzing Economic Ripples in the South Denver Corridor on Friday, June 7 from 7 - 9 a.m. at Christian Living Communities. The focus will be the legislative overview of regulations impacting construction and infrastructure projects arising from the 2024 Colorado session. Register here.
- Effective January 1, 2024 and required by January 1, 2025, many companies in the U.S. must report information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Filing is simple, secure, and free of charge. Beneficial ownership information reporting is not an annual requirement. Unless a company needs to update or correct information, a report only needs to be submitted once. The Cities of Centennial, Englewood, Littleton, and Sheridan (collectively known as South Metro) are exploring opportunities to increase waste and recycling services and we want YOUR valuable input, through PAID virtual focus group meetings in June. Each participant will be provided a $50 VISA gift card upon complete participation of the informal, virtual 75-minute focus group. The Cities are seeking ten participants for their business focus group scheduled for Thursday, June 20 from 3 - 4:15 p.m. If you are a business owner, employee, or representative, we welcome you to complete an application by Tuesday, June 11. The first 10 eligible applicants will be selected and you will be contacted with additional steps. All meetings will be virtual (a link will be emailed). - The State of Colorado is offering a 50 percent tax credit to employers who provide sustainable commute benefits. 2024 is the last year to take advantage of this credit. For more information, visit Sustainable Commute Benefits.

Colorado Smart Cities Alliance will host an AI4G: AI for Government showcase on June 20 from
3 - 6 p.m. at the CSU Spur-Hydro Lobby. This showcase will illustrate how Artificial Intelligence can be used to help government agencies improve services and quality of life in their communities. Register here.

Arapahoe County is set to adopt the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) for its Building division and is accepting public comment through June 14. The NEC is the most widely recognized electrical Code in the world. Every three years it is updated to reflect the newest installation rules and practices used by the electrical industry. - The Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder's Office will host election facility tours this month. Tours will be Tuesday, June 18 at 11 a.m. and Thursday, June 20 at 3 p.m. Register here.

- City of Centennial and Arapahoe County will host a coffee and food tent at the Arapahoe Trailhead on Bike to Work Day Wednesday, June 26th. Stop by starting at 6:30 a.m.

City of Centennial offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 for Independence Day.
- The City's 2024 Mill and Overlay program is underway. This includes street rehabilitation and maintenance, such as slurry seal, mill and overlay or reconstruction. View the Streets Map to see where the rehabilitation is scheduled near you.
