Home Hardening Pilot Program 2026-2027 |

📣Home Hardening Pilot Program Open for Homeowners
Wildfire Partners is undertaking a Home Hardening Pilot Program. The program aims to build a community of home hardening contractors in Boulder County by training, providing experience, and evaluating the work of select contractors. We have already completed a formal procurement process, trained these contractors, and launched this program.
-
To participate in the pilot program, you must have received a Wildfire Partners assessment (west or east) and submit a Home Hardening Pilot application. The application process is competitive.
- Homeowners who have received a Wildfire Partners certificate are not eligible to participate.
- The program has a long list of requirements. If you are interested, we encourage you to read this detailed program description.
For participants who are accepted into the program and meet program requirements, Wildfire Partners will pay 50% of the cost of this work up to a maximum Wildfire Partners share of $2,000. The program is designed for homeowners with multiple home-hardening, red checkboxes from their assessment reports to complete. Participants will be required to complete at least $4,000 of work ($2,000 of this would be paid by Wildfire Partners) unless they are able to complete all of their home-hardening red checkboxes for less than this amount. The more mitigation work completed, the better; however, participants are not required to complete all red checkboxes to be accepted into the program. For additional information, please email homehardeningpilot@bouldercounty.gov.
