Campaign Updates
A Strong Start to the Year
- Fourteen community partners joined our first coalition meeting of 2026 on January 13.
- Together, we set shared goals, established how we work together, and clarified decision-making.
- Members began brainstorming coalition names, planning outreach and tabling events, and identifying priorities for the months ahead.
- Thank you to everyone who helped build momentum right out of the gate!

Colorado has received a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that will allow the state to restrict the purchase of soft drinks and other sugary beverages with SNAP benefits beginning March 1, 2026. The decision has prompted discussion among public health professionals, with viewpoints both supporting and questioning the policy.
