SNAP Benefits Are on Hold
People should continue to submit new applications and renewals.
Community Partners,
As you know, there continues to be a government shutdown and we’re seeing confusion amongst community members. We’re sending this email to align on messaging and help ensure people continue to apply for and renew their benefits.
Key SNAP Messaging:
-
SNAP (food assistance) benefits are on hold for November 2025. This affects all SNAP households. Right now, we do not have more information about what happens next. We will share updates as soon as we get them on the SNAP website at boco.org/FoodAssistance. People can also check their PEAK account for information on benefits going forward.
-
New applicants should still apply for benefits. Existing SNAP recipients should continue to renew. Boulder County will keep processing all new applications and renewals so that everyone who qualifies is ready to receive benefits as soon as funding becomes available. There may be some delays before benefits are issued.
