Meadowlark Trail at Coalton Trailhead to Close Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 for Grazing

Coalton Trailhead and all other trails will remain open.

Boulder County, Colo. - A portion of the Meadowlark Trail will be closed for cattle grazing from Monday, Sept. 1, through Friday, Oct. 31. All other trails and the Coalton Trailhead will remain open.

The trail will be closed during grazing for safety reasons. Some herds can be protective of their young and aggressive towards trail users. 

Grazing is an important tool for maintaining healthy grasslands and reducing the amount of fuel available for a fire.
