Boulder County
Gross Reservoir Community Update –

January 2024

Message from
Boulder County's Gross Reservoir Mitigation Fund Coordinator

Greetings Community Members!

As we wrap up the final paperwork for 2023, we wanted to give you a status report on payments issued from the Gross Reservoir Community Impact Mitigation Fund.

At the end of December, we had processed approximately 65% of all eligible payments and paid out a total of $2.8 million of the allotted $4 million. All claims submitted in 2023 have been processed and we are currently paying new claims received in 2024.

Two important reminders:

  • If you received a payment in 2023, you will receive a 1099-G from Boulder County by the end of this month (January) to use to file your 2023 taxes.
  • 1099-Gs will be sent to the address provided on the Award Claim Form submitted to Boulder County.
  • All claims must be requested by the deadline of April 30, 2024.

Letters were mailed this week to the 142 households that have not filed a claim reminding those households to file for their award payment by April 30. If you know of anyone who has not yet claimed their award, please ask them to reach out to me so that we can ensure they don't miss the deadline.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the status of your payment or the process for filing an award claim.

With kind regards,

Barb Halpin
