Gross Reservoir Community Advisory Working Group Meeting*

Tuesday, May 16
5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe all working group meetings

*NOTE: With CDOT's intermittent closures of SH 72 (Coal Creek Canyon Dr.) due to flooding events, the May 16 meeting may need to be held 100% virtually. We will update the community via this e-news list by mid-day Tuesday if the in-person option is canceled.

Third Advisory Working Group Meeting – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16

The third (and possibly final) Gross Reservoir Community Advisory Working Group meeting will be held Tuesday, May 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Agenda)

Community members can attend and observe the meeting in person* (unless flooding events close SH 72) at the Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association (CCCIA) or join the meeting virtually on Zoom

The purpose of the Gross Reservoir Community Advisory Working Group is to weigh different scenarios, interests, and collective impacts from both a scientific and subjective standpoint and make recommendations to Boulder County about what the community feels is the most equitable and fair way to distribute money from the Gross Reservoir Community Impact Mitigation Fund.

Tuesday night's discussion will focus on the different impact measurement tools developed by Working Group members and presented during the one-hour virtual meeting on May 8. Members will use these tools as a foundation to create a recommendation on the methodology to use to distribute Phase I of the Fund.

If you haven't already provided input on your household's lighting impacts--or wish to comment on the Pinyon Environmental, Inc. report analyzing the air, noise, and visual impacts of Denver Water’s Gross Reservoir Expansion operations, please see the links in the "Give us Your Input" box below to send us your comments.

We appreciate the continued community support of this effort.

Sincerely,

Barb Halpin
Gross Reservoir Community Impact Mitigation Fund Coordinator
