Public Invited to Comment on 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program Applications

Feedback on Boulder County grant applications will help guide decision makers

Boulder County, Colo. - In Fall 2022, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) invited local governments in Boulder County to apply for grant funding as part of the 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Subregional Share Call for Projects. This funding is eligible to be used for a wide variety of transportation projects, including bicycle and pedestrian improvements, bridge repair and replacement, roadway reconstruction, safety, and transit.

DRCOG received 20 applications, including 10 from Boulder County:

Visit Boulder County’s website for list of all 20 applications and application information.

Provide Your Feedback

If you want to see a project or set of projects funded, now is your chance to speak up! Comments can be submitted via DRCOG’s webmap, or by contacting Kellsie Forfar-Jones, public engagement planner, at kforfar-jones@drcog.org, or 303-480-5658. Comments are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023.

Applications will be scored based on their impact to the Boulder County Subregion, their contribution to safety, active transportation (walking and biking), air quality, multimodal mobility, freight, and regional transit goals, and their project readiness.

In March, elected officials in Boulder County will make a funding recommendation to DRCOG based on the applications’ scores and public comments received.
