Road realignment project on Lefthand Canyon Drive at Glendale Gulch starts next week

Next Tuedsay morning, Feb. 19, our contractor, American Civil Constructors (ACC), plans to start a roadway realignment project on Lefthand Canyon Drive at Glendale Gulch, which is close to the seven-mile marker and west of Lee Hill Drive. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is expected to last into May, weather permitting.

To accommodate the work and to help with site safety, Lefthand Canyon Drive will be reduced to one lane at this location. A temporary traffic signal will be in place 24-hours a day, seven days a week to help move travelers (cars and bikes) through the work zone. This single-lane configuration will be in place throughout most of the work.

The project involves a reduction in the curvature of Lefthand Canyon Drive to increase safety. The temporary asphalt surface that was placed during the Lefthand Canyon Flood Recovery Project will be replaced with a permanent layer of new material at the end of the job.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you for your time and patience.

Have a good day.

Sincerely,

Andrew Barth
