Boulder County Colorado Bike-n-Ride Damages shelter in Longmont; Winter Walk and Bike Week Feb. 4 to 10
Boulder County Colorado sent this bulletin at 01/23/2019 07:57 AM MST
Hello Bike-n-Ride Cardholder -
I am writing today to alert you that the bike-n-ride shelter at State Highway 119 (The Diagonal) and Hover Street in Longmont has a broken Plexiglas panel, and that we are working to get this repaired as quickly as possible. A big thank you to the shelter user who alerted me to the problem. The caller mentioned that he was glad his bike was locked to one of the racks. This is a good reminder to all of us that the bike-n-ride shelters do offer additional security from bike thieves and protection fro weather, but they are not infallible. Please use a U-lock to secure your bike in the shelter. If you are not sure which kind of lock to use, ask someone at your friendly neighborhood bike shop.
Sorry about the unfortunate news. Here's some good stuff!

2019 Winter Walk and Bike Week is Feb. 4 to 10! There are lots of activities to celebrate those who bike and walk in the winter and to encourage others to give it a try. Check out a list of activities planned for the week.
Friday, Feb. 8 is the big day with breakfast stations! This year there are locations in Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, and Niwot! Check out a map for all locations, but here's what's planned outside of Boulder:
- Longmont Bicycle Co. - 314 Main Street in Longmont
- Louisville Cyclery - 1032 East South Boulder Road in Louisville
- Moe's Bagels in Louisville - 1057 Courtesy Road in Louisville
- Niwot Wheel Works - 124 2nd Avenue in Niwot
Fun Fact: Boulder's average high temperature in February is 48 degrees farenheit and we'll have about 10.5 hours of daylight this month.
I look forward to seeing your out for Winter Walk and Bike Week! Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about the bike-n-ride shelters.
