Boulder County submits formal comments to COGCC on Crestone’s Fourth Draft Preliminary CDP

(Boulder County, Colo. - April 13, 2018) -- Boulder County has submitted comments to the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission on Crestone Peak's Fourth Draft Preliminary CDP.

The complete Fourth Draft CDP -- as well as additional information on the CDP process -- is available on the COGCC website. Public comment regarding the Fourth Draft will be accepted through Sunday, April 15, 2018 via COGCC's public portal.

Oil & Gas Development in Boulder County

Boulder County is concerned about the potential for significantly expanded oil and gas development in Boulder County and on county open space land.* We support appropriate tighter restrictions and increased local control to help mitigate the potentially hazardous impacts from these industrial activities.

We pledge to continue to protect our local public health, safety, and the environment from the impacts of intensive oil and gas development using a multi-pronged approach of legislative, legal, environmental, and public health strategies.
