Grass Fire at Lifebridge Christian Church
A haystack and 1/2 acre of prairie were accidently set afire.
Boulder County, Colo. - On Sunday, April 8, 2018, at approximately 1 pm, sheriff's deputies and firefighters from Mountain View and Longmont Fire Departments responded to a field on the northwest side of the Lifebridge Christian Church in the 10300 block of Ute Hwy., on the report of a grass fire.
Some farm workers were loading hay from a stack to the back of a pick up truck, when the exhaust caught the hay on fire. Windy conditions spread the fire, which burned approximately 1/2 acre. No structures were threatened, no one was injured and the truck sustained significant fire damage.
This incident is documented in Boulder County Sheriff's Office case report number 18-1948.
