Two people arrested after lengthy search

Boulder County, Colo. - On march 14th at approximately 1120 hours, a deputy  with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office observed a suspicious vehicle parked at a residence in the 7000 block of Mt. Sherman, which is located in unincorporated Boulder County. The license plate on the vehicle came back stolen out of the Town of Superior.  The vehicle also matched a  stolen vehicle “be on the lookout” (BOLO) that was broadcast earlier in the day. The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver refused to stop and eluded the Deputy. A perimeter was set up and the empty vehicle was later located in the 8400 block of Valmont road in an agricultural field. A search for the two occupants was initiated along with K9 teams and assisting Officers from the Lafayette, Erie and Boulder Police Departments as well as assistance from the Colorado State Patrol. After an exhaustive search, 32 year old David Hume and 25 year old Jessica Gunderson were located hiding in a field a few hundred yards from the stolen vehicle. Both parties were arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges and Mr. Hume was also arrested on a Felony warrant out of Boulder County. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office report is documented under 18-1438
