Administrative and Family Liaison Support Specialist

The Boulder County Coroner's Office is looking for an experienced individual to join their team as an Administrative and Family Liaison Support Specialist. This is an important role that helps the Assistant to the Coroner perform administrative support functions, as well as providing information and facilitating care and support for families. An ideal candidate is someone who has superior communication skills and is comfortable dealing with difficult situations.

Bilingual Human Services Caseworker B- Intake Screener

The Boulder County Department of Housing and Human Services is hiring a Bilingual Human Services Caseworker B to join the Family and Children Services Division. The Caseworker will conduct professional screening interviews related to child abuse and neglect, adolescents in need of services, and adult protection. The ideal candidate will be someone who is compassionate and has a good understanding of crisis intervention methods.

Corrections Registered Nurse - Night Shift

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Corrections Registered Nurse to help assess and implement care for inmates at the Boulder County Jail. Applicants with previous experience with mental health and substance abuse interventions are encouraged to apply.

Property Manager

The Boulder County Housing & Human Services, Housing Division is hiring a Property Manager. In addition to managing a portfolio number of rental units, this position will assist with determining eligibility and completing leasing for Kestrel, a 200 unit Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property in Louisville. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish languages, and have knowledge of LIHTC regulations and Section 8 Vouchers.

Cultural History Seasonal

Boulder County Parks and Open Space is hiring a Cultural History Seasonal to help educate visitors at the Agricultural Heritage Center. The Seasonal will lead and assist with educational programs, and assist with feeding livestock.

The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is hiring three outdoor enthusiasts to join the team as Education and Outreach Seasonals. The Seasonals will act as ambassadors for Boulder County by leading volunteer projects, staffing special events, performing park patrol, and educating visitors about local natural resources.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Two years of college coursework in environmental education, natural resource management, ecology, volunteer management, or related field, and/or one season (six months) of experience directly related to volunteer management, environmental education, or resource management.

Youth Corps Assistant Team Leader

Boulder County Youth Corps has 13 openings for Youth Corps Assistant Team Leaders (ATLs). The ATLs will help direct, train, supervise, and motivate teams of adolescents in a variety of county work projects. This is an ideal job for someone who enjoys working outside, and is looking to make a difference in the lives of high school students.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma, or equivalent, plus a minimum of one summer with job of volunteer experience in parks, trails, open space, or landscaping.

Youth Corps Team Leader

Are you looking to spend the summer performing meaningful work for your community? Boulder County Youth Corps is hiring 21 Youth Corps Team Leaders (TLs), who will manage teams of adolescents as they complete various county projects. The TLs will help train the youth, and encourage job and life skill development.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma, or equivalent, and a combination of at least two years of college coursework and/or field experience. Field experience includes: work supervising or teaching middle and/or high school students.

Changes to Boulder County's Job Application

In an effort to be more inclusive, the Recruitment Team updated a few of the county's job application questions in September of 2017. Previously, questions regarding race and gender included the option “other,” which we believe is inappropriate and offensive to potential applicants. Those options have been removed. The Recruitment Team also added new options to the gender-identity question to be less restricting. As always, answering these questions remains optional, and no hiring decision will be made based on an applicant's responses.

In January of 2018, the Recruitment Team continued their work on inclusivity by creating an EEO/diversity statement now included on every job announcement. It reads:

About the Recruitment Team

Kimberlie Burke began working at Boulder County in July of 2016. In her position as a Human Resources Manager, Kimberlie is responsible for recruitment and is the liaison to the Assessor’s Office, Land Use, and Public Health. Kimberlie comes to the county after working for nearly ten years for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a national non-profit focusing on children’s health. In this new role she hopes to build relationships across the county with hiring managers and staff, and to foster collaboration to bring amazing new hires to Boulder County. When she is not at work Kimberlie can be found reading a book, going for a hike, doing yoga, or spending time with her new son, Larson.

Brandon Figliolino started his career with Boulder County in June of 2016. As the Recruiting Technician for Boulder County, Brandon assists with hiring candidates who exemplify the county’s vision of “providing the best in public service.” He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and creative writing (Brandon is fascinated with government, particularly at the local level). Outside of work, Brandon spends his time volunteering, writing, and striving to complete his master’s degree in public administration. He lives in Arvada with his two cats, named Lucas Logan and Emma Swan.

Steffany Hiatt has been a Human Resources Technician with Boulder County since 2011.  She assists new employees through the onboarding process in Human Resources.  Steffany enjoys meeting new employees and being a part of their introduction to the county. She has worked in Human Resources for nearly ten years and has previously worked for both city and state government.  In her free time, Steffany enjoys scrapbooking and card-making with friends, traveling, photography, spending time with family, and taking long walks with her husband.
