State Highway (SH) 119 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Study Continues

RTD is currently evaluating the viability of implementing BRT service along SH 119 between Boulder and Longmont. The study will address the growing congestion and travel demand, environmental impacts, multimodal access, transit reliability, and transit travel time. Initial public meetings were held in November 2017, but more are tentatively planned for February 2018 (details coming soon).

CDOT State Highway (SH) 119 Bikeway Study Starts Soon

Depending on the outcome of RTD's SH 119 Study, bicyclists may be displaced from their current place on the outside shoulder of the Diagonal Highway. CDOT will lead a study in partnership with staff from the City of Boulder, the City of Longmont, RTD, and Boulder County to explore alternative bicycle facilities if the RD study recommends placing buses on the outside shoulder. All options are currently on the table. We anticipate the bikeway study will kick-off in the spring of 2018.

RTD Public Meeting in Louisville

RTD is hosting a public meeting where you can talk with their staff and learn about future projects, including:

• Service changes
• The commuter rail regulatory process
• FasTracks
• Differences between commuter rail and light rail
• New RTD mobile ticketing and MyRide services
• RTD employment opportunities

E-Bikes on Boulder County Open Space

Boulder County is hosting three open houses to receive public input on where, and if, E-Bikes should be allowed on Boulder County Open Space trails. Currently, E-Bikes are not allowed on any Boulder County trail, except the US 36 Bikeway.

• 4 to 5 p.m. E-Bike Demo at Stazio Ballfields - 2445 Stazio Drive
• 5 to 6:30 p.m. Open House at Boulder County Recycling Center - 1901 63rd Street in Boulder
• Saturday, Feb. 10 - Broomfield
• 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. E-Bike Demo at Goodhue Farmhouse - 2005 S. 112th Street in Broomfield
