RTD hosting public meetings Nov. 15 and 16 on Highway 119/Diagonal BRT study

Provide feedback on the future of public transportation, including multimodal access, along the SH 119 corridor

Boulder County, Colo. - All are invited to attend the first of a series of public meetings on the progress of a study being conducted by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) that is evaluating the viability of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service on State Highway 119/Diagonal Highway between Boulder and Longmont.

RTD will provide an update on the study and will collect feedback from meeting attendees. RTD’s consultant, Parsons Transportation Group, is helping to conduct the study to address the growing congestion and travel demand in the corridor, environmental impacts, multimodal access, transit reliability, corridor transit travel time, and other criteria. 

Boulder County is participating in the study along with the cities of Longmont and Boulder and several other area organizations.   

Bus rapid transit (BRT) is a bus-based public transport system designed to improve capacity and reliability.
