Magnolia Road guardrail replacement; Lane closures and one-day full closure

Work starts Sept. 18 - will take place on east end near Boulder Canyon Drive

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Transportation will begin a guardrail replacement project on Magnolia Road approximately 250-feet up from the intersection with Boulder Canyon Drive/CO Highway 119 starting Monday, Sept. 18 at 8 a.m. The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of October, weather permitting.

Travel Restrictions – Delays and a one-day full closure
In order to safely complete the project, Magnolia Road will be reduced to one lane around the construction zone. Traffic signals will be in place 24-hours per day, seven days per week through the end of the project. Travel delays will be between five and seven minutes when the signal is in use, but delays could be longer depending on the construction activity taking place at any given time. Please give yourself plenty of time to travel when using Magnolia Rod during the project.

Magnolia Road will need to be completely closed to all travelers, bicycles, and motor vehicles at the construction site for one-day (exact date to be determined) in order to deliver and pump concrete that will create footings for the guardrail posts. The closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the chosen day only. Travelers will need to access Magnolia Road from the west end off of CO Highway 119 during this time. Visit www.BoCoConeZones.com for up-to-date information on when the full closure will take place.

Emergency service providers have been notified and will be allowed through the construction zone as quickly as possible should a situation arise that requires their attention.
