Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat Flood Recovery Celebration - Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - Flood recovery construction at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat is now complete and all trails are open. The Boulder County Commissioners and Parks & Open Space staff are hosting a flood recovery celebration on August 31 at 3 p.m., beginning at the Wally Toevs parking lot. Members of the public are invited to attend.

The breaches between Cottonwood Marsh and Wally Toevs Pond and between Cottonwood Marsh and Bass Pond have been repaired. Structured spillways, or "low water crossings," were built along with ADA compliant connecting trails.

Staff will make a short presentation about the project and trail improvements and lead a hike around the Wally Toevs pond for all interested attendees.
