Neighborhood meeting scheduled for residents inside Cold Springs Fire burn area

Boulder County, Colo. - A neighborhood meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 15 for the residents who live within the Cold Springs Fire burn zone. Please note that this meeting is for residents who have returned to the burn area specifically and is not for the entire area that was evacuated. The goal of the meeting is to focus on issues that pertain to living within the burn area.

     When: Monday, Aug. 15, 6-8 p.m.
     Where: Nederland Community Center, 50 Forest Rd., Nederland
     Who: Residents who live in the burn area

Initial meeting topics will cover: removal of burnt trees, well water testing, revegetation, flood risk, self-care, wildfire mitigation, properly insuring your home, and others topics to be determined.

Some of the support groups that have been invited to attend include: Boulder County (multiple departments), Boulder County VOAD, U.S. Forest Service, Wildfire Partners, Mental Health Partners, Saws and Slaws, Team Rubicon, NRCS, and others.
