Commissioner Elise Jones elected as '16 Chair, Denver Regional Council of Governments 

It is a great honor and opportunity to have the chance to serve as Chair of DRCOG for the next 12 months," said Boulder County Commissioner Elise Jones. "2016 will be a pivotal year for transportation and mobility, development of the regional Metro Vision, and securing appropriate resources to aid the aging and disabled in our community. I look forward to tackling these and other challenges together with my fellow directors and the communities that support these shared interests through DRCOG.

Members of DRCOG’s board of directors are local elected officials who serve as regional representatives on issues of importance to the metro cities and counties of the Northern Front Range of Colorado.

DENVER REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS ELECTS 2016-2017 LEADERS

Boulder County Commissioner Elise Jones elected as DRCOG Chair

Feb. 18, 2016 (Denver) – Boulder County Commissioner Elise Jones was elected chair of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) Board of Directors at its Feb. 17 meeting.

Joining Jones on the board of directors is City of Aurora Council Member Bob Roth as vice chair, Westminster Mayor Herb Atchison as secretary, and Arvada Mayor Pro Tem Bob Fifer as treasurer. City of Lone Tree Mayor Pro Tem Jackie Millet will serve as immediate past chair for the coming year. 

Jones has represented Boulder County on the DRCOG Board of Directors since January 2013. She previously served as secretary, and was appointed vice chair by the Board in August 2014, completing an unexpired term of office.
