Boulder County Parks & Open Space seeks public input on the Heil 2 Small Area Plan

Boulder County, Colo. -- Boulder County Parks & Open Space has released the Heil Valley Ranch 2 Small Area Plan for public review and comment on the Our Boulder County website

The plan is now up online for review as is a map that compares trails suggested by members of the public to the trails proposed in the Small Area Plan. On the bottom of both pages is a space to comment. Comments will be forwarded to both the Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee (POSAC) and the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC).

On February 25 at 6:30 p.m., Parks & Open Space staff will present the draft plan to POSAC for recommendation to the BOCC. The meeting will be open to the public and POSAC will be taking comments from the public on the proposed plan. The plan covers the management of the property for natural, cultural, and recreational resources.

The 210-acre Heil Valley Ranch 2 property connects Left Hand Valley Drive to Heil Valley Ranch’s Geer Canyon Trailhead. It is nestled between two hogbacks just west of U.S. Hwy 36 and is connected on two sides with Heil Valley Ranch Open Space.
