Boulder County Commissioners seek public input on proposed 2016 budget

Public Hearing scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - The Board of County Commissioners is seeking public comment on their recommendations for the 2016 Boulder County Budget.

A breakdown of the proposed budget by spending area will be presented by the Budget Office staff on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m.

The total proposed 2016 budget is $424,760,235 (The 2015 Adopted Budget was $426,840,064). The proposed funding package for 2016 is posted on www.bouldercounty.org/budget.

The Board of County Commissioners will adopt a final budget on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Budget Preparation

At a budget work session on Nov. 5, following a month of individual public hearings with county offices, departments, and non-profit organizations, the County Commissioners provided their list of recommended expenditures for 2016 to be incorporated into a final recommended budget. Budget Office staff will present those expenditures as part of the overall recommended budget for 2016 at the hearing on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2105.
