Boulder County Colorado Building Code Meeting Update: 2015 International Codes Adoption & Amendments

The September 22 Boulder County Board of Review meeting was continued to Tuesday, October 13. As such, the remaining public meeting schedule for BORC-15-0001 - 2015 International Codes Adoption & Amendments is as follows:

 

NEW - Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 4:15 p.m. - Public Meeting: BORC-15-0001: Board of Review public meeting, at the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room, 3rd Floor, Main Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St., Boulder. This meeting is a continuation of the September 22 Board of Review meeting. The Board of Review closed the public hearing on September 22 for discussion among the board members and the staff. Public testimony not will be taken at this public meeting. The Board of Review is requested to take action to make a recommendation regarding adoption of the building code proposals to the Board of County Commissioners.

 

***DATE CHANGED*** Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 2 – 4 p.m. - Public Hearing: BORC-15-0001: Board of County Commissioners Public Hearing, at the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room, 3rd Floor, Main Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St., Boulder. Staff presentation of the 2015 International Codes Adoption & Amendments in accordance with proposed BOCC Resolution 2015-104. Proposed changes include updates to the 2015 editions of the IBC, IRC, IFGC, IMC, IPC, IECC, IgCC and ICCPC and new adoptions of the 2015 International Existing Building Code and International Swimming Pool & Spa Code, changes to the residential fire sprinkler requirements, updates and revisions to the BuildSmart residential energy and sustainability program and revisions to the ignition-resistant requirements for buildings located in wildfire hazard zones, among others. Public testimony will be taken and limited to 3 minutes per person. This public hearing will be webstreamed on the Commissioners' Hearings and Records page.

 

Monday, January 4, 2016: All building permit applications received for projects in unincorporated Boulder County will be subject to the new 2015 codes.
