Dear Boulder County Building Code and BuildSmart,
Boulder County has begun the process of updating our current 2012 international building codes to the latest 2015 editions. The new codes are proposed to be effective in unincorporated Boulder County for all building permit applications received after January 1, 2016.

We want your input and feedback regarding our proposed code adoptions. There will be at least five opportunities to do so by attending public meetings or public hearings. We will also be updating the webpage for the code change process, including the ability to sign up for additional notifications or to provide input online.
Important dates:

Tuesday, July 14, 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room, 3rd Floor, Main Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St., Boulder, CO 80302. Boulder County Board of Review public meeting and work session to seek input and feedback.

Thursday, August 6, 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Caribou Room, 2nd Floor, Land Use Department, Courthouse Annex, 2045 Spruce St., Boulder, CO 80302. 2nd Boulder County Board of Review public meeting and work session to seek input and feedback.

Monday, January 4, 2016. All building permit applications received for projects in Unincorporated Boulder County will be subject to the new 2015 codes.
