Next Lunch-MAR meeting to discuss 112 years of recharge data
Next week’s Lunch-MAR meeting, “Proof Positive: A Century of Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) in Southern California,” will feature San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District (SBVWCD) General Manager Betsy Miller. DWR releases Periodic Review Determinations for two GSPs
Earlier this month, DWR released determinations for periodic reviews of groundwater sustainability plans (GSPs) for the Santa Cruz Mid-County Basin in Santa Cruz County, and the Merced Subbasin in Merced and Mariposa Counties. The Santa Cruz plan was approved with recommended corrective actions and is consistent with Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) requirements. The Merced Subbasin plan was deemed incomplete, and its GSAs have 180 days to correct deficiencies and resubmit. All review assessments and related materials are available on the SGMA Portal and DWR’s GSP webpage.
