Western Joshua Tree Quarterly Meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM)
Please join us for a virtual public western Joshua tree (WJT) informational meeting with California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM). The main purpose of these meetings is to inform the public on general updates related to the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act. This meeting will provide information on the various ongoing CDFW WJT projects, and updates regarding CDFW’s WJT conservation efforts. CDFW will cover the following:
- New Web Resources
- Western Joshua Tree Conservation Fund Activities
- Ongoing Project Progress and Timeline
After CDFW presentations, there will be an opportunity for participants to provide comments to CDFW. The intent of the public comment session is to allow CDFW to hear ideas, suggestions, and feedback from the WJT community regarding its WJT conservation efforts. CDFW will not be providing responses to questions and comments during this meeting. If you have any questions or comments, you may submit them by September 25 to WJT@wildlife.ca.gov with the subject line “September Quarterly Meeting Public Question” and CDFW may provide limited responses to general questions.
