Learn More by Attending Webinar on Oct. 1
As part the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy’s dedication to environmental and economic protection of the Delta and Suisun Marsh, we are now accepting concept proposals for the first cycle of our Climate Bond Grant Program.
The Conservancy is seeking proposals that focus on research, planning, and implementation for at least one of three priorities:
-
Community Enhancement: Funding for projects that benefit Delta communities through public access, recreation and tourism, historic and cultural preservation, environmental education, community engagement or education, or enhance the unique values of the Delta and Suisun Marsh.
-
Ecosystem Restoration and Climate Adaptation: Funding for projects that protect and restore the Delta and Suisun Marsh’s natural resources, environment, and biodiversity, or educate about landscape health or reduce the risks of climate change impacts upon natural resources, fish, and wildlife.
-
Nature-Based Solutions: Funding for projects that stop or reverse ongoing subsidence and reduce greenhouse gas emissions occurring on highly organic soils by assisting landowners in converting to rice or managed wetlands and providing them with technical assistance to access the Voluntary Carbon Market.
