Notification and Request for Input: Recovery Planning for Clear Lake Hitch Under the California Endangered Species Act
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is initiating recovery planning for Clear Lake Hitch (Lavinia exilicauda chi), which is listed as threatened under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA; Fish & G. Code, §2079.1). This process is intended to guide the development of an effective and actionable recovery plan for Clear Lake Hitch. We are soliciting feedback on recovery planning for the species.
Recovery planning for Clear Lake Hitch will follow CDFW's Guidelines for Recovery Planning. Once a draft recovery plan is developed, we will solicit public comment, and a copy of the draft plan will be made available on CDFW’s recovery planning webpage.
