California’s next governor will inherit natural systems that are changing faster than our institutions are designed to respond. To get the discussion started on how the new administration can build trust and accelerate opportunities for innovation and alignment, Watershed Solutions Network will host a virtual workshop on Wednesday, June 24, from noon to 2 p.m. “Beyond Silos: Building a Shared Natural Resource Vision for California's Next Governor” will bring together participants from a variety of sectors and geographies to help identify the values, priorities, and practices going forward. AWRCOS survey seeks participation from water professionals
Through an initiative called the Adaptive Water Resilience and Climate Operations in the Southwest (AWRCOS) — a partnership between universities, federal agencies, and technology companies working across the Southwest — San Diego State University is conducting a research study to develop actionable pathways and tools for climate-resilient water management in California’s San Joaquin Valley. The study will also provide valuable information to better understand water resilience and climate information services in the Central Valley. The study includes an online survey aimed at professionals with experience and knowledge about water and climate resilience in California. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and includes both open and closed-ended questions. Participant information will not be shared with other researchers or outside the study team.

June 16 BCX webinar: BCX Toolbox – Tools and Training
The next DWR Basin Characterization Exchange webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, at 12:30 p.m. “Basin Characterization Toolbox – Tools and Training” will feature presentations from Woodard & Curran and S.S. Papadopulos & Associates. They will discuss how to use the recently released BCTools, an open-source suite of analytical tools designed to integrate airborne electromagnetic surveys and hydrogeologic datasets for basin characterization, modeling, and groundwater management applications.
