Earth Day and Spring Events in the Parkway

Spring is here and the Parkway is calling us outside. Check out the events below happening this month in the Parkway for Earth Day and spring clean-ups.

April Volunteer Events with the American River Parkway Foundation

The American River Parkway Foundation is hosting volunteer events throughout the month of April.

Dates and activities include:

April 14th 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Trail Maintenance at Watt Avenue River Access
April 16th 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Invasive Plant Removal at Watt Avenue River Access
April 18th 9am to 12 pm spring clean-up
April 22nd 9:30 am to 12:30 PM Invasive Plant Removal at El Manto River Access
April 28th 9 am to 12 pm Native Plant Gardening at the ARPF Native Plant Garden

Bushy Lake Earth Day Celebration

The Bushy Lake Restoration Project will be hosting an Earth Day celebration at 500 Ethan Way in Sacramento on April 18th from 9 am to noon. The celebration will include booths, activities, a gratitude circle, and snacks and refreshments.

Celebrate Earth Day at Sailor Bar

Join the Friends of Sailor Bar to experience a guided or self-guided tour of Sailor Bar on April 18th from 10 am to noon. Check in will be at 4253 Illinois Avenue. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. A Sacramento County Regional Parks pass or day permit ($7) is required to access the site.
