Senior Environmental Scientist

Join our team! We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) to join our staff. This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex ecosystem restoration and climate adaptation projects and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, federal, state, and local agencies, non-governmental organizations, and Native American Tribes.
The Conservancy is a small, collaborative, and mission-driven organization that works across departments and disciplines to protect, enhance, and restore the Delta’s economy, agriculture, working landscapes, and environment.
In this position you will:
- Manage complex projects that advance ecosystem restoration and climate adaptation in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta
- Lead special initiatives that support and advance the Conservancy’s mission and strategic plan
- Research and brief the Conservancy’s Executive Management, Board, Native American Tribes, and stakeholders on the emerging issues or other ecosystem, restoration, or climate adaptation topics
Telework
Conservancy staff work in-person two days a week. Headquarters for this position is located at 1450 Halyard Drive, Suite 6, West Sacramento. Telework agreements may change with reasonable notice.
