NEWS
One-Way Traffic Control on Miner Slough Bridge
One-way traffic control was scheduled to begin on the Miner Slough Bridge Jan. 20 for a repair and repaving project.
One-way traffic controls will run from the entrance on Holland Road to the other end of the bridge on Ryer Road.
Work is expected to run 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., though it is weather dependent. A projected end date is not stated on the announcement from Caltrans.
Apply for California Ag Leadership Program
Applications are open for Class 56 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program, a transformative experience for people shaping the future of California ag.
Led by the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation, the Ag Leadership Program has spent more than five decades developing leaders who drive positive change. It has more than 1,500 alumni.
The deadline to apply is March 27.

Comment Deadline for Draft 2026 Delta Science Plan Extended
Comments are now due by Jan. 30 on the third iteration of the Delta Stewardship Council's Delta Science Plan. The plan outlines the vision, principles, and approaches that guide science in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.

Caltrans Work on Old River Bridge on SR-4
Upgrades and repairs of the Old River Bridge on State Route 4, located at the San Joaquin/Contra Costa county line, east of Discovery Bay, will result in a full highway closure 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, and 24-hour one-way traffic controls Feb. 2 through November. Learn more (PDF).

Jan. 28: Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy meets at 9 a.m. in West Sacramento. The agenda is posted here.
Jan. 28-30: State Water Resources Control Board meets to consider draft updates to the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Watershed. The notice is posted here (PDF).
Feb. 10: Delta Protection Advisory Committee meets. The agenda will be posted here at least 10 days in advance.
Feb. 26-27: Delta Stewardship Council meets. The agenda will be posted here at least 10 days in advance.
March 19: Delta Protection Commission meets at 5 p.m. The agenda will posted here at least 10 days in advance.
March 25: Delta NHA Advisory Committee meets. The agenda will be posted here at least 10 days in advance.

HARMFUL ALGAL BLOOMS
There is a Harmful Algal Bloom caution advisory at Contra Loma Reservoir. Stay away from algae and scum in the water. Do NOT let pets go in the water, drink the water, or eat scum on the shore. Keep Children away from algae. Do not eat shellfish from this waterbody.
