Tunnel Accountability Action Plan Released
To acknowledge and address potential impacts on local communities due to building the Delta Conveyance Project, the Department of Water Resources released an Accountability Action Plan last week.
The plan memorializes DWR's commitments to address effects on local communities during construction of the tunnel project, which has not yet received permits to proceed.
The plan's five components are creating an ombudsman office; regulatory mitigation; a $200 million community benefits program; community advisory groups; and a program of information, outreach, and engagement.
