The allocation has increased to 35% of requested water supplies, up from 20% in January, based on increases in precipitation, snowpack, and reservoir storage. USGS making waves with Water Data for the Nation
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) NWISWeb real-time water data pages host more than 7 million visitors annually, billions of successful page requests, and terabytes of data delivered. After several years of modernization, USGS is beginning the final decommissioning of legacy NWISWeb webpages and replacing them with modern Water Data for the Nation webpages, features, and functions. Over the next two years, the USGS will turn off NWISWeb. This will happen strategically and will conclude in February 2027. More information, including a public webinar, is available on the USGS website.
