Apps Open for Grants to Improve Parks, Outdoor Access
California State Parks is accepting applications from public agencies for two federal grant programs aimed at improving access to local parks and natural spaces.
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership is a competitive grant program that helps local public agencies acquire, create or renovate local parks in underserved communities.
The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant program provides eligible applicants with the ability to acquire land and/or develop recreational amenities such as playgrounds, sports fields and courts, exercise stations, and dog and skate parks.

CA Fish & Wildlife Issues Incidental Take Permit for Tunnel
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife issued an Incidental Take Permit (PDF) under Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act (CESA) for the Delta Conveyance Project.

California Agritourism Summit: May 14-15
The California Agritourism Summit will bring together agritourism stakeholders to share current initiatives and industry developments, gain practical tools to start or expand an agritourism business, develop strategic partnerships, and create a collective vision for the future of agritourism in California.
The event will feature expert panels, roundtable discussions, presentations, networking opportunities, and tours of successful agritourism operations in San Diego County.

First Delta Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Bloom Workshop - March 6
The first Delta Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Bloom Workshop will be held concurrently with the IEP Workshop 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. March 6 in the California Natural Resources Building. Applications Open for Delta Protection Advisory Committee - March 14 Deadline
Applications are open through 5 p.m. March 14 for five seats on the Delta Protection Advisory Committee. The incumbents are all eligible to reapply. Learn more and apply.
Marine Traffic Bridge Closures in SJ County - Through March 29
San Joaquin County movable-span bridges will be temporarily closed to marine traffic through March 29. Affected bridges are the Eight Mile Road Bridge at Honker Cut Canal, the Bacon Island Road Bridge at Middle River, and the Tracy Boulevard Bridge at the Grant Line Canal. Learn more.
Isleton Bridge Scheduled for Daily Closures - Through June 30
The Isleton Bridge on State Route 160 near the city of Isleton will be closed to all motorists during daytime hours into the early evening. Closures will take place 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through June 30. Learn more.
Paintersville Bridge Scheduled for Daily Closures - Through Aug. 1
The Paintersville Bridge on State Route 160 near Courtland will be under daytime full closures for repair work. The work schedule is 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through Aug. 1. Learn more.

Delta Protection Commission
The Delta Protection Commission meets today, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m. in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy office in West Sacramento, with remote attendance available.

 March 4 in Oakley: All Abilities Day at Big Break Regional Shoreline - people of all abilities can explore nature at their own pace and in their own way. Drop in anytime 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Big Break Visitor Center, 69 Big Break Road.

Danger advisory: Contra Loma Reservoir. Advice: STAY OUT OF THE WATER. Do not touch scum in the water or shore. Do NOT let pets go in the water, drink the water, or eat scum on the shore. Do not eat shellfish from this waterbody.
