Emerging Delta Leaders Convene
Nineteen emerging Delta leaders convened Friday at the Nature Conservancy in Sacramento for the kickoff of the 2025 Delta Leadership Program.

The group will gather four more times between now and April for daylong seminars that will provide deep dives into the Delta’s ecology, economy, heritage, regulatory framework, and more. Seminars will also hone participants’ leadership skills and serve as workshops for team projects that will be presented to the Delta Protection Commission on May 15.

Rio Vista Bridge Work Update
 AnonymousEditor95/Wikimedia Commons
Work on the Rio Vista (Helen Madere Memorial) Bridge concluded this weekend, and no more 55-hour weekend closures are anticipated in the immediate future.
The bridge has undergone multiple weekend closures to rehabilitate the roadway surface, replace bridge rails, repave approach ramps, and build Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps.
This $11.2 million project has required multiple 55-hour weekend closures because of the limited width of the bridge to allow for heavy equipment access.
Information about any future projects can be found here.
