Report estimates SWP delivery capability with climate change
Delta Conservancy releases drought pilot program results
A report on an experimental program that tested drought-resistant field management practices has been released by the Delta Conservancy. The Delta Drought Response Pilot Program report describes the results of Delta growers who tested drought-resistant field management practices in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Watershed. The report analyzes how changing field management practices could result in water savings, protect Delta water quality, mitigate potential drought impacts on wildlife, and promote soil health.
Flood-MAR Network to receive AWRA water management award
The Flood-MAR Network has been chosen as the recipient of the 2024 American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Integrated Water Resources Management Award. This award recognizes outstanding integrated water resources management teamwork on a complex water resources effort. The award will be presented to the Flood-MAR network during an AWRA awards luncheon this October in St. Louis.

Texas success to be highlighted during One Water webinar
One Water is a holistic and inclusive way of viewing, valuing, and managing water. Its benefits will be discussed during a webinar hosted by the US Water Alliance on Wednesday, Aug. 28. West Texas water managers will explain how adopting One Water is supporting their region’s booming growth while protecting natural ecosystems and diversifying water supplies.

Presentations wanted for CARCD's annual conference
The California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) is accepting proposals for presentations to be made at this year’s CARCD Annual Conference. Preference will be given to proposals aimed specifically at resource conservation districts. The submittal deadline is Friday, Sept. 6. The conference will be Dec. 10–12, in Sacramento.
