Engineering with Nature to be featured at today's Lunch-MAR
Later today, March 6, DWR Flood-Managed Aquifer Recharge (Flood-MAR) Program will host the monthly Lunch-MAR webinar. Today’s session will cover how Engineering with Nature® strategies can enhance groundwater recharge while providing flood protection. As an example, the presentation will look at a levee reconstruction project on the Pajaro river in Watsonville.
State Water Project releases Elevate to '28 strategic plan
The State Water Project (SWP) has released its five-year risk-informed strategic plan. Elevate to ‘28 reflects a work plan to better serve the people and environment of California. The plan outlines specific actions, including strengthening resiliency for a changing climate, that the SWP will implement to address challenges and secure a better future for California.

Groundwater Accounting Platform webinar set for March 18
A lesson on using the Groundwater Accounting Platform will be provided during a webinar on Monday, March 18. The platform contains information and data that enables California water managers, landowners, and water users to track water availability in real time. There will be details on how the platform can help with tracking water usage, managing water budgets, and simulating groundwater scenarios.

Webinar to help water suppliers maintain affordable rates
On Tuesday, March 20, the WaterNow Alliance and the Natural Resources Defense Council will team up for a webinar on a tool that can help water suppliers maintain affordable water rates. In addition, the Water Affordability Business Case Tool can assist suppliers in maintaining fiscal health. The webinar will include details on how the tool performed when it was used in Cincinnati.
