Office Hours segment will feature DWR deputy director
The next installment of Office Hours, hosted by Maven’s Notebook and CivicWell, will feature Paul Gosselin, DWR’s deputy director of sustainable groundwater management. The question-and-answer session on Wednesday, Jan. 24, provides an opportunity to ask about groundwater sustainability plans and implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.
Data consortium, Flood-MAR Program team up for noon event
The California Water Data Consortium and DWR’s Flood-Managed Aquifer Recharge (Flood-MAR) Program are teaming up for a noontime event on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The combined Data for Lunch and Lunch-MAR presentation will provide information about the Groundwater Accounting Platform, an open-source tool that helps California water managers, landowners, and water users track water budgets.
OEHHA to host climate change symposium in Sacramento
New science and data on the ways climate change is affecting California will be discussed at next week’s symposium hosted by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). It will be held in Sacramento on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The symposium will launch a series of webinars that will complement the Indicators of Climate Change in California report. The webinar schedule will be announced during the symposium.

Fisheries restoration grant proposals being accepted by CDFW
The California of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has released the proposal solicitation notice and the guidelines for 2024 Fisheries Restoration Grant Program. The program provides funding for projects that enhance or protect salmon and steelhead habitat. Concept proposal applications must be submitted by Monday, March 4.
EWN podcasts return next week, season 7 trailer available
Engineering with Nature (EWM) has posted the season 7 trailer for its podcast series. The upcoming season will carry the theme, "Continuing the EWN Journey." Listeners can expect insightful conversations with researchers, discussions on government policy, international nature-based solutions, and coverage of EWN events. Episode 1 of the new season will be available next week.
