Conservancy board awards $13.3 million for Delta projects
The Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy Board has awarded a total of $13.3 million for three climate-benefit projects. The projects cover Delta rice conversion, water restoration on Staten Island, and land acquisition on Bethel Island. They will provide fish and wildlife habitat, halt or reverse subsidence, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Adaptation planning info available on updated RAP-Map website
The Integrated Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program has updated the ResilientCA Adaptation Planning Map (RAP-Map). It offers a way to view and download city and county adaptation planning information from across California. RAP-Map also provides links to information on vulnerability assessments, local hazard mitigation plans, and other related documents.
California Water Commission taking comments on white paper
The next meeting of the California Water Commission will include discussion on a draft white paper containing potential strategies to protect communities, fish, and wildlife in the event of long-term drought. The draft was developed in support of Water Resilience Portfolio Action 26.3 which calls for protections in cases when droughts last at least six years. The commission’s meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Sacramento. Public comments on the draft can be submitted during the meeting or emailed to the commission.
P3 Government Conference to be held next month in Virginia
This year’s P3 (Public-Private Partnership) Government Conference is less than a month away. It will be Dec. 5 and 6 in Alexandria, Virginia. This year’s theme is “Policy, Politics, and Projects.” The conference will feature information on the ways local, State, and federal agencies have overcome resource constraints to find ways to deliver critical infrastructure projects.

Save the dates for next year's California Small Farm Conference
Save the dates for next year’s California Small Farm Conference. It will be Feb. 25–29. The conference is an annual gathering of family farmers, local food system operators, and regenerative agriculture advocates. It will be a hybrid event: four days of virtual programming followed by 10 unique in-person meetings across California. The program and registration will be available later this month.
