 Delta Protection Commission Meeting

The next Commission meeting will be held on May 18 at Big Break Regional Shoreline. The meeting will start at 4 PM with a tour of the Big Break facilities. During the meeting, the Commission will also receive presentations from the Delta Leadership Program Class of 2023 and the Delta Watermaster.
 Delta Independent Science Board Meeting

Meeting location to be announced
The next meeting of the Delta Independent Science Board (Delta ISB) will be held on May 17. The Delta ISB will discuss its draft prospectuses on subsidence reversal, food-webs, and decision-making under deep uncertainty.
 Implications of Rising Temperatures: Coastal, Marine & Estuarine Ecosystems Symposium

This symposium is being hosted jointly by the UC Davis Coastal and Marine Sciences Institute and the Delta Science Program. This day-long symposium will bring together researchers from the natural and social sciences to discuss the state of research on the influence of extreme heat on organisms, communities, and socio-ecological systems.
The symposium will meet in person on the UC Davis campus and will be live-streamed and recorded. This is a ticketed event for in-person and remote attendees.
 City of Isleton Turns 100

Isleton will be celebrating its 100 years of incorporation on May 14. Isleton was founded in 1874 by Josiah Poole and incorporated as a city on May 14, 1923. On May 12, join Isleton's 100-Year Anniversary Open House hosted by the Isleton Chamber of Commerce at the Isleton Museum.

 Asian Pacific Spring Festival

Main Street Locke
The Asian Pacific Spring Festival is one of two annual events organized by the Locke Foundation to celebrate Chinese American culture. The festival will include a lion dance, martial arts, taiko drumming, a tea ceremony, food, and more. Attendance and parking are free.
Taste of Oakley

 Rivertown Wine Walk and Artisan Faire

G Street Downtown Antioch
Join the Celebrate Antioch Foundation and Rivertown Merchants for an afternoon of art, handmade crafts, wine tasting, and live music performed! This is a family-friendly event. Entrance to the Artisan Faire is free. There is a cost to participate in the wine tasting.
Sacramento River Delta Historical Society Annual Meeting and Potluck Dinner

Come join the annual meeting of the Sacramento River Delta Historical Society. The meeting will feature Delta Pick Mello, Executive Director of the Sacramento History Museum, and The Alter Egos, a reader's theater group, who will share stories from Voices of the Delta.
Participants are encouraged to bring photographs, objects, and stories about their family's experiences in the Delta. This event is free for all.

This symposium features a distinguished panel that will discuss the trials and triumphs of the Asian community in the Antioch area.
 Oakley Water Safety Day

Revive Church, with funding from the City of Oakley, is giving away 250 kids life jackets. The life jackets will be fitted on the first 250 children under 90 lbs while supplies last. This event will also include snacks, drinks, face painting, games, and more.
