The Conservancy will end the meeting with a ribbon-cutting celebration and dedication of the Dennis T. Machida Memorial Greenway. See below for more details.

Upper Truckee River Sunset Stables Restoration Project Planning
The Board will consider accepting $500,000 in federal funding for planning to restore part of the Upper Truckee River and floodplain in El Dorado County. The restoration will increase climate resilience, enhance wildlife habitat and biodiversity, improve water quality, and provide equitable access. During planning, the Conservancy will focus on a study area encompassing Conservancy and USDA Forest Service land along the river. This restoration is a critical part of a larger effort to restore the Upper Truckee River and watershed, the largest watershed in the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Sawmill Lot Line Agreement
The Board will consider authorizing a lot line agreement between a Conservancy property and two adjacent privately owned parcels on Sawmill Road near the intersection with U.S. Highway 50. This agreement will resolve boundary and encroachment issues on the Conservancy parcel.
The Board will consider a land exchange with the Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD). The Conservancy will transfer 18 acres of land to the TCPUD, including properties near the Tahoe Cedars neighborhood in Tahoma and in the Highlands neighborhood east of Tahoe City. In return, the TCPUD will transfer to the Conservancy approximately 107 acres of environmentally sensitive, open space land near Quail Lake in the Homewood area. This exchange supports California’s Pathways to 30x30 strategy, as it increases the amount of state-owned land that the Conservancy will manage to protect wildlife habitat, biodiversity, open space, and public access.
Strategic Plan Interim Assessment
The Board will hear an update from Conservancy staff on achieving the Conservancy’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan. The Board will discuss how the Conservancy can focus its efforts to achieve the results envisioned when the Plan was adopted and to inform development of the next strategic plan.
