 Traffic Alert: State Route 12 Closure
9:00 PM Friday, June 24 to 4:00 AM Monday, June 27
Caltrans is continuing work on a project to replace the bearing pads of the State Route 12 (SR-12) Potato Slough Bridge located near the Tower Park & Terminous communities, west of Interstate 5 (I-5) in San Joaquin County.
This project will require overnight one-way traffic control closures, and two 55-hour full weekend closures of eastbound and westbound SR-12 between SR-160 and I-5 as the Potato Slough Bridge is jacked (raised) for the replacement and testing of new bridge bearing pads.
 Yolo Bypass Bat Talk and Walks
Multiple dates available - register early!
The Yolo Bypass Bat Talk and Walks are back this summer! If you’ve never come out to see the spectacle of a quarter-million Mexican free-tailed bats emerging from the shadows to hunt at dusk, this is your chance. These walks will be hybrid format with a virtual presentation and opportunity for in-person walks with a guide. Dates are available June through September. The cost is $15 per adult and free for children. Be sure to preregister for the Bat Talks and Walks.
 Community Campfires at Big Break Regional Shoreline

Gather the family for an evening in the park! Big Break Regional Shoreline is hosting a series of Community Campfires. Explore the wonders of Big Break through activities and a campfire (and s'mores of course!). Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the festivities begin. This is a drop-in event, no registration is required. The next campfires will be held July 9 and 10 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
 Applications Open for the Stockton Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Program
Applications are due Thursday, June 30
The City of Stockton is now accepting applications for the 2022 Stockton Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Program. Grants are available for entrepreneurs, start-ups, small businesses, and organizations that provide business support services to entrepreneurs in Stockton.
 Delta Champions Nominations
The nomination deadline is Friday, July 1
The Delta Regional Foundation has opened up nominations for the 2022 Delta Champions awards. Recognizing the best in Delta achievement, the awards will recognize recipients in five different categories, including promotion, preservation, and improvement of the region. Nominations should be accompanied by a letter of support.
The awards dinner is on Tuesday, September 13 in Thornton.
 Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Weekly Report
There are currently no "Danger" level advisories in the Delta. There is a "Warning" for Smith Canal near American Legion Park in San Joaquin County. There are also "caution" advisories in the following areas:
- Turner Cut
- Buckley Cove Boat Launch
- San Joaquin River near Windmill Cove and Stockton Rod and Gun Club
- McLeod Lake at Morelli Park and Joan Darrah Promenade
- Mormon Slough near W. Weber Ave
- Old River at Clifton Court Intake, downstream of the ORT barrier, and at Mountain House
- West Canal at Clifton Court Intake
- Grant Line Canal
- Victoria Canal near Union Point
