Friends and Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to a Headquarters Housewarming at our new home for the California Natural Resources Agency on Friday, June 10.
As many of you know, our agency and many of its key departments have moved homes after six decades. Now located in a beautiful, environmentally advanced building at 715 P Street in Sacramento, we have an opportunity to welcome not only our work colleagues, but many of our external partners as well.
Our open house event will take place on Friday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this event we’ll be opening up our new common spaces, providing tours of the whole building, and welcoming visitors into our Departments and Office of the Secretary. It should be a great time to see familiar faces and make new acquaintances.
We’re also very excited to invite every living former Natural Resources Secretary to join us at this event for a first-ever conversation about the past and future of natural resources management. We’ll hold this panel discussion with Secretaries Chrisman, Laird, Nichols, Snow and Wheeler in our new auditorium and also online via Zoom.
Due to rising COVID cases and the need to ensure the health and safety of our employees and guests, COVID testing prior to the open house is strongly encouraged. Further, there will be locations throughout the building where masks will be required. If you have any COVID symptoms, please refrain from attending the event.
Please also follow your departmental/unit protocol in obtaining supervisory approval to attend the celebration.
We hope you can join us! If you plan to attend, please RSVP at your convenience. And if you have any questions about our event, please contact Mark Borges (Mark.Borges@resources.ca.gov).
Thanks for all of your work advancing shared goals.
Onward!
Wade Crowfoot
