We are proud to share the 2021 Annual Report (PDF). It is our mission to support agriculture, recreation, cultural heritage, and natural resources in the Delta. We continue our dedication to that mission through the ongoing advancement of our Strategic Plan (Vision 2030) while being adaptable to emerging challenges and opportunities.
Join the Great Backyard Bird Count at Big Break Regional Shoreline
Saturday, February 19 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Bring your passion for birds and help scientists gather data! Each February, for four days, the world comes together for the love of birds. During this free program at Big Break Regional Shoreline, participants will count as many birds as they can find and record them. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations, as well as making note of the incredible variety of birds found in the Delta.
Celebrate Black History Month at Old Sugar Mill's Arts & Crafts Show
Sunday, February 20 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Celebrate Black History Month at the Old Sugar Mill. This art and crafts show will have food trucks, vendors and live music, and wine tasting. All ages are welcome!
Traffic Alert: State Route 84 Real McCoy Ferry Closure
Monday, February 7 to Late March
The State Route 84 (SR-84) Real McCoy Ferry II is scheduled to be out of service starting Monday, February, 7, 2022 at 12:01 AM until late March 2022 for required engine upgrades needed for the boat to meet updated air emissions requirements.
The Real McCoy II cannot operate until the the boat is dry-docked, engine upgrades performed and an inspection is complete.
Caltrans will provide more detailed dates and times for the Real McCoy’s return to service as soon as information is available.
Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Weekly Report
There are currently no "Danger" or "Caution" level advisories in the Delta.

Delta Photo of the Week
The 65-foot Valiant is an abandoned commercial vessel removed from Delta waters by the State Lands Commission in January 2022.
