Great California Delta Trail Draft Master Plan Now Available – Seeking Your Input!
The draft Master Plan for the Great California Delta Trail is now available for review and comment. The Master Plan proposes ways to link trail systems from Sacramento to the San Francisco Bay – and we want to hear your feedback!
We’ve worked with county parks planners, trails groups, and landowners in developing this draft plan – now it’s your turn to let us hear if this plan will help create a Great California Delta Trail System! Public comment is welcome now until December 16.
There will be two opportunities to attend virtual public presentations on the draft Master Plan:

Register for Thursday, December 8, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta NHA Management Plan Advisory Committee Meeting
Thursday, December 2 3:00 PM Virtual Meeting
The National Heritage Area Management Plan Advisory Committee (NHA Advisory Committee) is a 15-member volunteer body that provides the Commission and a Commission subcommittee with recommendations on the development of the Management Plan and seeks input from diverse stakeholders.

This monthly series of webinars will touch on themes of environmental justice relevant to issues in California and the Delta. Scholars and public service experts will speak on the importance of environmental justice as it pertains to state water management, climate resilience, indigenous stewardship, and management of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Webinars are presented through Zoom and are free and open to the public with registration.
In this fourth and final webinar, University of Oregon Associate Professor Dr. Raoul Lievanos will present "Climate Justice: Racialized Disparities Related to Sea Level Rise, Flooding, and Foreclosure Risk in Stockton."

 Delta Invasive Species Symposium
Wednesday December 15 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM Zoom Virtual Meeting
The biennial Delta Invasive Species Symposium is a forum for Delta managers, researchers, and decision-makers to meet and share best practices and lessons learned. This year’s Symposium will focus on early detection and rapid response (EDRR) to invasive species. There will be opportunities for participants to give feedback on the draft EDRR framework. This meeting is hosted by the Delta Interagency Invasive Species Coordination (DIISC) Team.

Office Technician

We are hiring an Office Technician (OT) to work as Admin Support and Clerk. The OT will provide a full range of complex clerical and administrative services for Commissioners and Commission staff and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative and independence in performing assigned tasks. We are seeking someone proficient in personal computers and remote meeting technologies; reviewing data and drawing sound conclusions; and presenting ideas and information effectively both orally and in writing. The position is frequently using Microsoft Office Suite and the Financial Information Systems for California (Fi$CAL).

You will find additional information about the job including the Duty Statement in the OT Job Announcement. The successful completion of the State’s Office Technician (Typing) exam must be prior to the application unless applying for a lateral transfer as a state employee. Applicants must also have a current typing certificate. Applicants using education to meet the minimum qualifications of this classification must provide a photocopy or scan of their official transcripts.
Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Weekly Report
There are currently no "Danger" level advisories in the Delta. Areas with a "Caution" warning are Big Break Reginal Shoreline and Old River near Quimby Island.
